About Us

The International Mining Network was initiated to help facilitate mining and geology students in interacting with the mining industry. Our goal is to provide a network for bringing together universities, colleges, the industry, students and other key stakeholders of the mining industry to the benefit of both the students and the industry as a whole.

There is presently an ever increasing shortage of trained and qualified graduates across all sectors of the mining industry, resulting in many companies finding it hard to meet their recruitment goals. In addition to this many students looking for vacation work, scholarships or graduate positions are finding it hard and time consuming to navigate through the scores of web sites in search of their goal. The International Mining Network was initiated by students at UNSW who know first hand the difficulties in finding such positions.

Our aim here at the International Mining Network is to provide a central place for:

Resource companies to advertises and promote

  • Graduate Positions
  • Vacation Work
  • Scholarships
  • Career and Info Days
  • Seminars and events
  • Company News

Students to find information on

  • Vacation work
  • Scholarships
  • Graduate Positions
  • Internships
  • Career Days
  • Networks with other students at separate universities

Universities and Colleges to

  • Advertise undergraduate and postgraduate programs
  • Network between other universities
  • Advertise open days and career days

It is our hope that this network will become a useful and valuable tool in helping bridge the gap that exists between resources companies, universities and students and that the resource industry as a whole can benefit from the International Mining Network.
